This was panel number three for the Hip-Hop Series that I was doing, which I intended to display in May. As some of us all know, that didn't work out. Over the span of the summer, I stepped up my "ink & friends" method and brought it into a more presentable level.

After school started, I saw the work that I did a while back and was disgusted. Its bad, like horrible bad. There were about 3 salvagable pieces that I could probably submit as deviations and not vomit on the keyboard in a strange reaction of embarrasment. This is one of them. I submitted this more for the concept than for the rendering. I thought it was pretty cool still, and maybe one day, I'll do a better rendition so that I'll have something to hang up on my wall.

Saftey First just caught my eye by chance yesteday. =BiggCaZ has a simple yet effective cartoon style that he gives depth and dimensionality through his precise use of wash and paint medium. Not only that, the perspective and the concept of this particular piece is simply appealing and cool. (Featured by `mangapunksai)

I know how that is, looking back on old work and cringing at how horrible it is.

It's even worse with my writing.

Writing is the worst. No one who looks at my site would know how much work and revising I do with my poetry, but I'm more than likely to revise that about 10 times, no over exaggerating.

I usually do a "stream of consciousness" poetry, but you wouldn't know it by looking at it. I don't usually go back to revise it unless I really like it.

I used to write a lot of stories, though. I haven't done it in years... I mostly write comics now.
